This seminar will delve into the sacred yet practical relationship between tattooing and the human body.

The act of tattooing can be a healing and energizing practice. With the proper tools and knowledge, we can approach this ancient craft with a holistic view that brings the entire tattoo experience into a more meaningful practice.

In this seminar we will be discussing the nature of what tattooing does to the body on an energetic level, the power of intention/ focused attention, and how these all come together to create a powerful and mystical experience for both parties. You will learn some basic exercises that can be applied immediately to your work as well as personal supportive practices to enhance your energy and attention.

Seminar will conclude with an ancient yogic ceremony and guided meditation for all interested ✨️🙏✨️

Oh! Also Sunyata Shyam will be joining us at the end to demonstrate some health practices that can easily be applied into your daily routine!

Bio:

My name is Shug Shyam and I'm a dedicated practitioner of Yoga and the tattooist behind Sat Manav Tattoos. I infuse each tattoo with purpose, healing, and blessings.
Guided by my Guru and empowered by ancient wisdom, I have trained extensively and received initiations into the deepest forms of spiritual practice. Together with my wife of 25 years we raised 4 kids at an ashram that is settled in the mountains of Maine. It is reminiscent of ancient times. For 20 years we ran yoga schools, taught meditation retreats, and offered sacred music as methods of connecting to thousands of people.
Further from there I ran a unique custom carpentry business specializing in creating creative work within conventional and nonconventional situations. 

Through this rich life experience this fueled the desire to work with tattooing in a ceremonial fashion. I was introduced to the power of tattoos through the ashram and my Guru, thus planting the seed for the future. For some years prior to tattooing I honed my artistic skills, understanding the connection between the body, art, and the flow of energy, through studying sacred geometry, tantric arts, yantra and a ceremonial practice known as prana pratishta that infuses energy into inanimate objects.
Later this all culminated into tattooing professionally. I opened Sat Manav Tattoos in the fall of 2018 with the intention of creating an link for people in these times to something rooted in the highest potential of human nature. That continues to this day and grows with each breath. 

I have been interviewed on Mark Naras podcast "Tattoos with Intention" and currently am in the middle of a documentary about the power of sound vibration and the power of tattoos placement on the body. My travels have taken me to India, Nepal, Canada and all over the US working and studying all that pertains.
